I have opened my French Bank Account (RIB) so now I will be able to hopefully get an apartment tomorrow.  :-)

Arrived in Paris Safely

GREETING FROM PARIS!  My family and friends have convinced me to blog about my time here in Paris.  This is my first experience blogging, but I am going to attempt to document my experiences and adventures.  Thanks for reading my blog - I will try to update it at least once a week.  Check back for updates and pictures.   

We arrived in France today at 11am!  The flight was very smooth and uneventful.  Couldn't sleep though - The taxi that picked us up was surprisingly able to accommodate all of our luggage.  :-)  It was about a 45 minute drive to our adorable hotel.  The cost of the taxi was over $100 - guess next time I will be using the metro.

Our hotel is tiny and cute - unfortunately there is no elevator.  The hotel manager saw my luggage and said "Oh, you brought your life with you"  haha  It was quite a task to get our bags up the small staircase.

Today was the final part of the Tour de France which was going on close by.  

We tried to get some sleep and then went to my favorite restaurant for our first dinner in Paris... MCDONALDS!  :-)  Perhaps we will be more adventurous tomorrow.

Well, the day has finally arrived - time to head off to Paris for this new adventure!  Still trying to finish packing...  How do you fit your life into 6ish pieces of luggage?  I usually have 2 bags just for a short weekend trip!

We have a direct flight from Dulles to Paris (flying through the night).  I will update everyone once we arrive.

Say a little prayer for an uneventful flight!  :-)
